Taylor Neil
Veterinarian
Dr. Taylor Fish joined Winsted Hospital for Animals in early 2026 after working in veterinary medicine as both a technician and receptionist before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in 2022. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Veterinary Science, an Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology, and a minor in Animal Behavior. Dr. Fish is passionate about preventive care, community medicine, dental health, heartworm prevention, and behavioral medicine. During her clinical training, she worked closely with board-certified veterinary behaviorists, gaining experience managing a wide range of behavioral concerns and treatment options.
A lifelong animal lover, Dr. Fish knew from a young age that she wanted to become a veterinarian. Her own dog, Sadie, an Australian Shepherd mix adopted from a North Carolina shelter, has inspired her commitment to heartworm prevention and dental care after undergoing treatment for both. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Fish enjoys drawing and painting portraits, taking nature walks with her family, playing video games, and reading. She hopes to add a crested gecko to her family in the future and dreams of owning a Borzoi.
